I think you should change the definition of tangent line you give in the beginning, where you define it as a line touching the graph at exactly 1 point, especially because you give an example of a graph and a tangent line shortly after that where that isn’t the case. I guess you could say touching the graph locally at one point, but I find that even more confusing because what exactly is meant by locally? I would use the definition of drawing a line through two points that are approaching each other until they are infinitely close.
